I was hoping to find tires with a symmetrical tread pattern, but my experiences with the Dunlop Touring T1 and Yokohama AE-01 left me unsatisfied. They brought ES32, and they were exactly what we needed at a time when I was getting desperate. The sidewall of the 195/65R15 is thicker than that of the Dunlop T1 and Nokian Green 2, but it is not as tight as that of the Pirelli or other Bridgestones. Tire "breaks" gradually to absorb shock rather than springing back up like a ball would, much like a Nokian. The optimal hardness of the tread compound makes it act more like rubber than plastic. In addition, it was discovered that the tires had been sitting around for much over a year prior to the production date. Just one season in, and I have nothing but good things to say about this rubber. It shows no signs of wear at all.
- Asymmetrical tread patterns, where you can flip the tire over if one side wears out, are extremely rare. The RoadRunner saw an improvement in all facets of civilian operation after the Cordiant, and thus, did not put its handling to the test with any particularly dynamic movements. The first obvious difference is how much lighter they are. The installation immediately results in a smoother surface; it lies quite lightly. Also, it's completely silent. The second wave consists of people realizing the car has lower gasoline costs. No issues have been reported with stopping or handling on either dry or rainy roads. In sub-zero temperatures, they perform admirably on dry pavement, and they don't fade in the sun.
- It was impossible to find fault with the first season. While I avoid serpentine roads, I have no problems with handling on the interstate. Although I find their yellow hue unappealing, I attribute it to the orange oil the maker claims to have used in creation. The only defense is that driving on the primer killed by tractors was uncomfortable, but I have no idea which tires would be better or if those tires are affected in any way.
