I don't care that thing isn't made more durable, it works! I used it to remove 22 gallons of old fuel from my boat and everything was perfect. The pump is at the very end of the hose, which is great. The best part of the pump was the pump end, which was less than 1.5 inches in diameter! It was inserted into my fuel tank through a hole in the fuel delivery unit. My tank is 8" deep and I've bled all but about 1/4" of the rest. I can handle it. Ensure that the device is used in an upright position. If the unit is tilted too much, a lot of liquid will come out of the vents and run down the outside of the pump arm. The small hose that comes with the kit works fine, just make sure it's installed properly and then retighten.
