My girl takes it and drinks a lot of water. My only problem is cleaning. It needs thorough and regular cleaning, but the sharp corners and uneven surfaces (flat circles, etc. due to manufacturing) make cleaning the Ideal quite a challenge. I use a toothbrush (with a curved head made by heating and bending) and a straw cleaner with cotton fibers on the tip and I'm pretty good at cleaning things, but of course it would be great if easier brushing was required. In general I had no problems. I've had one for at least a year now. I bought a second one to have on hand in case my current one breaks, but the first one still works great!
