I bought this Thunder t-shirt for my kitten who is 16 weeks old and weighs 2.5kg. The original intention when buying it was for cross-country flying, but I've used it on other occasions when it bothered me. It definitely helped calm his nerves. He's always a bit picky, but if I put him on right away, he calms down pretty quickly. I bought a small one. That's hardly suitable for a 5 pound kitten. It's supposed to be snug and fit at the moment, but with another pound or two to gain over the next few months or so, it won't fit in, which given the cost is hugely disappointing. (In fact, when his stomach got a little bigger from not using the tray during our travels, I couldn't even give it back to him.) I would buy a medium if I knew so it would last longer than just a month. The seller claimed the small size would fit a cat weighing up to 9 pounds, but that's not the case at all. If you wish to purchase this item, please increase it by (at least) one size.
