This bit was purchased to cut a groove in a red oak molding to allow a piece of glass to be fitted like a cupboard door. A suitable mandrel installed the router bit into the router hub and the entire shebang was assembled onto the router table with the oak shape extending across the router bit surface without chipping or other scratches.
