Review on Universal 9000-36000 Condenser Mounting Conditioner by Junrey Jewel

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not siding ready, but adaptable.

Good quality bracket but was not aware when purchased that it was intended for attachment to brick/stone/concrete and had no features for attachment to sidewalls/posts. I made it Here's how: - I have 16" studs - The included top mounting bracket barely attaches to three studs without modification. The instructions say the top mount is non load bearing but it is very strong and I think it can take some loads. - I leveled the bracket, then marked and drilled holes for the top bracket - The instructions state that each arm must be attached directly to the wall. Since my studs are 16" and the spacing between the brackets is determined by the mounting points of the condenser (in my case it was 21"), this was not possible. I bought 2 flat aluminum bars from Home Depot and cut them to the same length. For the top mounting bracket, I drilled 5 holes in each aluminum bar, 2 holes 21" so the arms are offset properly, and 3 holes that are 16" offset to attach the aluminum bar to the studs - then I loosely attached the top bracket to the B-pillar with a stainless steel bolt - I slip the support arms onto the top bracket and loosely fasten the two outer bolts on the top bracket aluminum bars to the Support arms with stainless steel bolts/washers/nylon locknuts so the arms are offset accordingly checked for distance between condenser mounting points, that everything is level and that the open holes in the aluminum bars match the previously identified bolts - I then marked 6 holes (3 in each aluminum bar) which should be pre-drilled for the stainless steel lag bolts - remove Removed the brace and levers from the wall and pre-drilled the 6 holes mentioned above - re-attached the top bar and aluminum bars to the fairing with 9 screws. I used washers to push the aluminum bar away from the wall a bit so the screw head doesn't hit the siding and bend the aluminum outward. screws, hope this was helpful! I switched all hardware to stainless steel except for the threaded bushings as I couldn't find an easy replacement. Good luck and comment if you have any questions!
