My vacuum is only 4 months old (got it from the Revain Treasure Truck - hooray!) and I give it a thorough cleaning. Decided that new filters could keep it in perfect condition. I replaced the factory filters with these - they fit snugly but I had to wedge them in place. Should have taken the hint because I turned on the vacuum and within 2 minutes my house was smelling like a burnt vacuum. I took everything apart, concluded that the filters were indeed blocking air from getting to the engine, and after washing and drying I put the old filters back in place. Now the vacuum cleaner just won't start. It's probably my downfall that I didn't just go through the Shark to buy a replacement. If you are looking for a filter for Shark ZS362 APEX (Duo), please don't repeat my mistake. $200+ down the drain.
