Review on ARB 5750300 Carrier Wrangler Bumpers by Shane Watson

It's better to make your own bumper than to buy these

I buy and sell rear bumper and tire holders. I heard mixed reviews for the Smittybuilt and most of the others seemed like they would be here in 6-8 weeks so against my better judgment I ordered an untested product from Revain. Here are all the cons that I really can't think of.1. No M10 nuts were supplied to connect the tire carrier to the rear of the tailgate.2. The instructions didn't account for the 35" tire when disabling the third brake light. For that I had to redrill the 3 holes. Two nuts broke, just like installing the bumper. I had to cut them off and go to the hardware store for new ones. 4. According to the instructions the fenders should be cut down to 55mm ok this obviously doesn't work for a product designed for JK/TJ and YJ bumpers I have JK.5 The ring nuts didn't fit I had to mine use old ones and the screw of this part kept coming out.It was an interesting dance trying to put on a tire.6.The mounting rod does not fit directly into the nylon fastener which means the rod holder was very difficult to open and close, without having to trim the nails to give extra room in the hinge point I had to lift the hoop to fit the nylon lock a week later it flexed and didn't creak some sc terrible. So now I have to wrap duct tape or duct tape over the nylon lock and rod to make it bearable. Bottom line, the installation took almost 3 days with constant trips to the shop for new parts, bolts, nuts etc. I would recommend you make them yourself before buying this piece of junk.
