This cable is used to connect a USB B device to a USB 3.0 device. The cable is 15 feet long, giving you enough length and flexibility. They say there is no signal loss even though it's 15 feet and I don't notice them. I don't have a meter to make sure this is correct, but there doesn't seem to be any lag. All in all, a great cable if you need to connect a USB-B port to something that uses USB 3.0.
