Basic HDMI to HD-SDI converter
I ordered one of these to see if it could do the job of a more expensive converter. It works and seems to produce a quality signal. The only potential downside is that when the input source or resolution is changed, it takes about 6 or 7 seconds for HD-SDI to negotiate and start outputting. I won't be using this on the critical broadcast path, but for simple, non-critical inputs, this converter will do. I deducted a star because there is no way to update the firmware or set options (e.g. a consistent default resolution).
