Review on 💧 Certified Brondell Circle Reverse Osmosis System by Roberto Evans

I was looking for a reverse osmosis water filter that doesn't waste too much water (I live in California - a drought affected state) . Borrowing from a watt zero waste system, but I didn't like that it doesn't really save much water, it just diverts the waste water into the hot water line with a pump. I was concerned about the high back pressure that could cause leaks or damage to the lines. I finally saw this one at Revain and thought I'd give it a try. According to the comparison charts they have, this one uses a lot less water than other reverse osmosis filters that use their own technology (which I don't really understand. I'm an engineer, not a mechanical engineer. And the papers they posted online weren't quite something which I could digest with my brain.Anyway I got the first one and trying to install it we found that the inlet check valve, the device, was broken and I couldn't use it at all.I contacted customer service Revain and they directed willingly offered free return shipping and advised me to order another unit.I'm not very good with tools but the installation only took about an hour including unpacking, setting it up, drilling a drain hole and even installing a faucet optionally in the hole we did had in the sink. on the valve, the tank was full for about 40 minutes. as in the instructions ng stands, I drained the water and gave her back to cry, and then tried the next. It was really clean and fresh. I had almost forgotten how good the water tasted after only filtering out hard water with a Brita filter. ( Brita is good, but it only takes a few days for the hard water to taste good until the next filter change, so it's not a very good way to drink water.) It's been a month since I've installed it, and always still no problems at all. We consume about a gallon of water per day for drinking. (I don't really care about the extra calcium in the water unless I'm drinking plain water.) Pros: - NO electricity required but still works great with water pressure/tank in tank providing a good water supply flow when needed. Ease of installation. If you already have a faucet hole all you need is an adjustable wrench and a drain hole bit.- A box that looks great. But I don't care about looks. still under the sink. Having everything in one box helps avoid other things getting stuck between filters etc, but that's okay. - Good clean water tastes good. NO harsh water taste - There is very little water loss compared to other reverse osmosis filters. (I haven't measured it yet, but plan to do so soon. The waste line is connected to the drain with a simple locking joint, so it's easy to hook up a measuring cup and measure how much water is really wasted. - Cons: - The inlet check valve that goes to the cold water connection has a very weak link, the very small knob that controls the on/off positions is very fragile, if you plan to use it many times I am pretty sure will break soon.My first one was already broken when I got the package.You should definitely have a better QC process for it to make sure this kind of problem never happens.Or maybe you even remember that part and send replacements with best design to all customers - I'm not sure if I can buy replacement filters from other manufacturers, if they stop the model and parts ic h not sure what to do. However, I think this is probably true of some other reverse osmosis filters, although I'm not very familiar. This is a box, it's quite big. I could just put that barley under the sink. I wish they had a smaller model. This one has a 6 liter capacity for filtered water, but maybe they can offer a 4 liter (about 1 gallon) capacity as small families only need that much. And refilling only takes 40 minutes. So if you mainly use it for drinking water, we can always have a jug of water outside. It also helps to have a smaller size for people with less space under the sink. UPDATE: 4/4/2016: Unit still works like new. Pure tasting water so far. I use about 1 gallon of water per day on average, so it's not time to replace any of the filters per the recommended replacement cycle just yet. I finally had time to check the actual water loss. Today I made sure the tank was full and then disconnected the waste water outlet and poured it into my own bucket. Since the tank was full, no water flowed from it at all. I then filled my water jug (2 liters) and water bottle (about 600 ml) so that about 2.5 liters (2.6 quarters) of water was drawn from the tank. The filter immediately began to filter and fill the tank, and the sewage began to come out. After about 20-25 minutes or so it stopped completely. And when I measured it, it was about 1.5 gallons.
