I bought this towel because I wanted to try a linen towel before making my own. Well, surprise. The towel is thin, similar to a light linen dress or pants. This towel absorbs water like no cotton towel I've ever had. The advantage is that it dries quickly. This is a good size, I wash it every week and it gets softer with every wash. I was surprised how much I love this shawl. That convinced me to make my own (sorry Revane). It's worth it because it's a wonderful towel. I would take it with me when traveling as it weighs very little and folds very flat. I have a little confession to make, I don't iron mine after washing. I just take it out of the basket and hang it in the bathtub.
