Review on Vintage Men's Salomon Authentic Backpacking Chocolate Shoes: Exceptional Style for Outdoor Adventures by Clayton Morris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The original winner in quality and comfort.

Okay, I just received them today, but I need to check them out right away. Having recently ordered $120 Adidas shoes, my expectations were high. The Adidas shoes felt well made and looked great but were too small in the toe box. I don't have wide feet, which was weird and disappointing. They didn't feel good either. They may have broken over time, but I didn't wait to see it. They just didn't like it. On to today. Salomon shoes are also very well made. They don't look too wide but the sock is great. Not thin tall, but not tight either. He grabs his leg without squeezing it. The sole just sticks to your foot and locks it in place, so to speak, without pinching anything. They are as light as Adidas, maybe even more. Green and black are beautiful. Some said they were small but I didn't see that. I tried to dig my toes into the toes of my boot but I stomped my foot forward. I did it with Adidas and oh. Did this with Salomons and my toes didn't touch the soles of the shoes. They were chained to my feet and I only walked around the living room a few times. If anything changes when I get on the moderate to difficult trails that I frequent, I'll let people know. But for entry-level quality and out-of-the-box convenience, they're great.

Pros
  • Exceptionally pleased with this shoe
Cons
  • Outsole wears out quickly
