I have an older cat who is very grumpy and doesn't like a dog or a new kitten. I plugged it into an outlet in the room where she hides most of the time. It's been about 2-3 weeks and she hangs out more instead of hiding all the time. She still hates and hisses at the kitten, but seems to be letting him get closer and closer to her every day. With further use, they may one day become friends.
