It's perfect for the printer.

I had to replace the power cord for my HP Envy 7640 printer because we recently lost it when we moved house. I was surprised that some popular office networks didn't have a universal power cord that plugged into a printer's traditional two-pronged connector; Instead, they had a "universal power cord" with three prongs. This cable is exactly what we needed and I had no problems with it. It was also very cheap for the price.
