By the title I mean other reviews critical of plastic durability are correct. Compared to our old cat carrier bags, the plastic feels very fragile. But they do for short trips to the vet with additional straps that I bought separately for stability. They came with all the gear; and I was able to assemble each of them with very little difficulty. You need to make sure you hear a distinct click of each latch on the side, front, and back. I have one big complaint - they arrived very dirty because they were brand new. Also, the photos show that some of the pink dye flowed at some point. I'm not sure if this is a manufacturer error, the result of being stored in a hot and dirty warehouse, or maybe they were "slightly imperfect" pieces that couldn't be sold at full price like the big hosiery brands did . In any case, they will work for what we need - short trips to the vet or in the car. However, I don't think I would trust them on a flight or a long journey.
