A pretty little 20" tall maple that turns red in fall. Each branch has small white rounded highlights about 1/2" wide. Stem and base off. It's easy to fan out the branches and plugging the trunk into the base. I prefer to be able to put the tree anywhere rather than tying it to a string, which is why I use batteries. There is also an off position. Everything is controlled by a button. It's supposed to turn itself off after six hours. I checked it yesterday. After a few seconds out of six hours the light went out. And then again today 24 an hours after I originally turned it on yesterday, which surprised me. This way you have to don't make it work every day Although you could never call this little tree a bonsai tree, it's quite cute.
