The covers were purchased to protect the front seats in my new Ford Escape. The surface material is synthetic suede, while the bottom is a durable material with soft rubber inserts that prevent the case from shifting when seated. Attaching the plastic boot clips between the bottom and back of the seat was a bit of a challenge, but I managed it in the end. . The cover's top clips that attach to the headrest posts were a breeze, as were the bottom hooks that need to catch some of the holes in the seat frame. I suggest you put the hooks as far back as possible so the floor covers are as tight as possible. i can make them The build quality matches the price they cost me and I regret my decision to buy them. Conclusion: I'd rather have a stain on the covers than the stains on the new SUV seats! good luck with them
