Review on ALTRA AL0A4VQL Rivera Black Men's Athletic Running Shoes: Superior Support and Style by Dave Calabro

I'm not usually a huge Altra fan but I was curious and loved this new shoe and the store liked it so much I bought it. 100 miles later I couldn't be happier! I'm pretty picky about shoes, I mostly wear topos. The Rivera has a slightly narrower toe box than typical Altras, which I really like. Unfortunately, I see some people commenting negatively on these shoes because they don't have the roomy fit that other Altras have. Of course, this can be a subtle departure from her signature style. I have a medium foot and find the Rivera very comfortable, responsive and a good mix of cushioning between the Escalante and Torin. The profile is great on the road and also cuts a very good figure on dry trails, which makes it an interesting off-road shoe. It's comfortable enough for long runs over 20 miles, but also fast enough for fast work. Highly recommended.
