Bought this in addition to a 20+ year old in-ear thermometer which my wife believes still can't be accurate. It is very easy to use, just pull the trigger and hold for a few seconds. It has 100 readable memory cells, somewhat redundant but useful for someone. It also has a surface temperature check setting, which is a bonus. The device requires 2 AAA batteries to operate. The package includes a nice soft storage bag, an extra battery cover screw and a screwdriver. All the nice touches that weren't expected.
