This was the best purchase I've ever made for a long drive! My cat is always restless in a cat cage but needs to be restrained as she tries to get on my lap or under my feet. I just took my cat on a trip from Seattle to Chicago in 5 days. I bought a large one which initially seemed too big to her (she weighs 11lbs) but in fact she turned out to be perfect because she could move. a little more / change position. I only attached one loop to it because I noticed that with two tied it slipped quite easily and looked uncomfortable. I rode a 15 foot U-Haul and he picked her up so I could see her out the window. She was happy next to me (she had her paw on me the entire ride) so I put her in the middle seat (the 15ft U-Haul has 3 seats, the middle one is smaller but fits). I originally had a 10ft sitter with only two seats, but there is enough room between the seats to fit her tray with a lid and booster seat on top. I found that the journey was much less stressful and traumatic for her and she was able to get in and out of the truck easily. We have stayed at La Quinta hotels because they are pet friendly? I highly recommend this, now it's in the house and she uses it as a bed.
