Review on High-Speed USB 3.1 Gen 2 Expansion Card with Type A+Type C Ports for Windows & Linux - Asmedia Chipset, 10 Gbps Transfer Rate by Jeffrey Connel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works in 2010 MacPro 5.1 at 5 Gb/s max bandwidth

Good price for a card that works in Mac OS. I bought it a few months ago and it works well with USB 3.0 in combination with the Jettison Sleep app. I just recently bought a 10Gb/s 1000MB/s device. It's NVMe at 1500MB/s in a case to convert to USB 3.2. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the full 10-1200 MB/s supported by the standard. This may be a limitation of the Realtek chipset in an external NVMe case, but this is the latest and supposedly the best chipset for the task. in my tests I got 730 MB/s, which is still a great result!
