Name says for guinea pigs, chinchillas, hedgehogs. In fact, he's too small for anything but a dwarf hamster. Of course a guinea pig will literally fit in, BUT the poor thing will be so tight it can't move. My kids have two guinea pigs, one a little smaller than the other but too small even for him. The dimensions in the description are also wrong. My other carrier is just an inch smaller than this one and twice the size. So I took a tape measure with me - it's actually 6 inches long, 4.5 inches wide and 6 inches high. And lastly, the material this thing is made of is garbage, it will tear very easily. Don't waste money. Instead, buy a kitten carrier that is the right size for an adult guinea pig, is of better quality, and is cheaper than buying a guinea pig carrier.
