No need to trudge into the kitchen to do a partial refill like I did with my previous 10-12 oz. Cup of Creuset. By the way, it's nice but too small for my current needs. This one will hold a large amount of liquid be it coffee, tea etc, just what I was looking for. In fact, if I fill the cup to the brim, it will be too heavy. But I don't have to fill it to the brim. I can shed half an inch easily and still have plenty to drink. Also makes it safer to make up for my morning clumsiness. It has a nice solid balanced feel and a beautifully sculpted shape with a nice rich color glaze (I have lapis). I really didn't care if it was a real fiesta or not. It's well made, very useful and great value for money.
