Review on πŸ“ž VTech CS6629: Dect 6.0 Cordless Answering System with 1-Handset for Efficient Communication by Jennifer Davis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for my needs

I was surprised how long it took me to find a phone like this. It's like with cars. There are so many options that many of us don't need and will never use. I was looking for a wall mount cordless phone with speakerphone and answering machine. Just a phone. Sounds easy right? Good luck if you don't need a lot of extra features like cellular, multiple lines, multiple phones, etc. Many of the simpler systems didn't have hands-free functionality, couldn't be wall mounted, or didn't come with a bracket. The phone was easy to set up and all features work as advertised. I like the hands-free feature because I can go about my business while waiting for an answer or talk while I'm doing something else. No ear jack. This would be a plus. The Vtech CS6629 was designed as a desktop device, but there are slots on the back for wall mounting. The base has a really small footprint: 5 inches wide by 4 inches deep and about 2.5 inches high. When the phone is in the stand, the top of the phone is approximately 7 inches from the bottom of the base (table height). .The only downside is the wall mount itself. Obviously, this is a universal mount designed for multiple phone models. You can see the bottom half of the wall mount underneath the phone. It would be nice if the manufacturer put a cover on this part of the mount. I didn't downgrade my rating to four stars because I suspect most people wouldn't be interested in a wall mount. Since I have a power line hanging from the wall to an outlet, the setup isn't perfect anyway. I think I'll probably get used to the mount. I can't say anything about the durability yet, as the phone has only just been put into operation.
