This is my second screen replacement. I bought a new 2018 MacBook Pro from a retailer at a discount. The machine was fine, but the screen had dead pixels (bright pixels are visible on a dark screen). I figured it didn't bother me too much since I paid almost $400 less than the standard retail price. Last year I stepped on a screen and killed it. I got a replacement Revain from a supplier in China and this screen was fine but soon started to deteriorate. I think it was the cables that didn't survive opening and closing. Some areas at the bottom of the screen began to darken and eventually faded until the entire screen went blank. I paid about $280 for this short lived fiasco. The newest one cost me $100 more and is absolutely perfect, bright and vibrant. The cables also fit perfectly so installation was quick.
