The indicator on the device does not blink and the speaker of the device has dents, it may have been dropped which is why the indicators do not light up (because the light is inside where the speaker is), the device is defective, hence 1 star. Thank goodness I tested it before giving it to my niece as an early Christmas present so I had to go back to get a replacement. I will update the review once a replacement has been received and tested. damn loud and when you switch modes it's like the mic is yelling at you, i thought it was just the first device as it didn't work but no both have such a loud voice when you turn it on. now cons. The charging process is very loose and does not charge properly, like you have to hold the charger to the microphone to charge. Again, not all the lights flash, only the bottom two bars glow when music is playing via Bluetooth, and when you're singing without music, they don't flash, and the funny thing is, another model of FM radio worked, the only thing worked well. It picks up stations and you can auto scan and manual scan for stations, this unit only has auto scan and it doesn't record FM stations, everything and all of this mic is complete bullshit, I mean I've bought a lot of things from Amazon but this is by far the worst device i have ever spent money on, money back for a refund. I will look for the best microphone
