I have a wonderful hot tub in my bathroom that I love. Since I bought the house almost 2 years ago I use it at least once a week. I cleaned it by running it through monthly with vinegar and baking soda and rinsing after each use. However, I recently had a fairly severe urinary tract infection and was beginning to suspect that the bath might be the culprit. I looked at several jet cleaners and chose this one because of the value for money. I was very nervous to see what a mess my jets were going to come out of, but was somewhat relieved to know it wasn't as bad as some of the other photos in these reviews. I was skeptical that a tiny 1/4 cup would do much, but it lathers quite a bit! However, it never overflowed. This was my method: 1. I followed the instructions, ran the first cleaning cycle (visible dirt)2. I drained the bath, washed all the jets and the filter very carefully (removed the cover completely) 3rd pass of a second cycle which produced more dirt than the first pass, drained 4th pass of a third cycle, this time with only bleach, no dirt formed at this point. I have since taken a dip in it and the jets run much smoother thanks to the filter cleaning and I have had no more UTIs. I am very glad I found this product and plan on doing a regular cleaning cycle with it!
