Why are manufacturers doing this?
This is one of those towel racks that come with circles that you screw to the wall and then use to hold the device with hex head screws. Instead of sending a simple template so you can position the circles exactly where you want them, they leave it up to you to measure the spacing, align, etc. So here's what I did. I set up the circle mount on my printer's copy screen and copied the image. Then I cut it out and taped it to the wall. Then I put real circles on top of their prints and screwed them to the wall. Fits like a glove.
