I had read about hydrocolloid bandages as a fix to cystic acne but the ones at CVS are huge, so I decided to try these. They're AWESOME. I will lance the cyst or wait for it to come to a head, squeeze out the goo and wait for the bandage to do the rest. Scarring has definitely gone down and healing is so much faster. I also feel good having the wound protected against air and the elements and becoming more infected.I wear it under my makeup. It's not invisible, but it's certainly less obtrusive than a giant, inflamed white head. If it's gotten white and cloudy it's time for a swap. If most of the gunk is out, I'll swap the bandage out for a new one. I feel secure leaving it on for a few days.They have good adhesion--they'll come off if you put it on too soon after applying your morning routine. I'd recommend switching it out first thing, or washing, waiting to dry, and then applying. (This morning, I put on clindomycin gel before I put on the fresh bandage.)I've definitely noticed a reduction in scarring and an in healing time.
