This was perfect for my 1 year old who couldn't walk. She had good balance and would take a few steps from time to time, but lacked the confidence to step away from furniture. This harness allowed me to get her away from things to hold on to and still gave her the support she needed. It also allowed me to stand up straight while doing it, rather than bending over to hold her pinky fingers. I've only used the straps about three times. The last time I used it when I took it from her she started walking towards the toy without even realizing she was walking. and has been going ever since. I wish I had bought this sooner.
