These boxes were strong and stylish. I found them easy to put together, my school-age kids even helped me, although they do take a bit of time. We used them for a baby shower and tied them with a ribbon but honestly it was just for style, they close well on their own. There are no issues with tearing or poor plastic attachment. The only problem, and it's probably a problem with these craft boxes that aren't specific to these, is that they grease very easily (you can see that in the second photo). They come with wax paper. Liners for the bottom of the box, but the ease of handling all the biscuits and boxes when packing has left smudgy marks on the outside of many of the boxes. If I were to do it again I would either use the white boxes or two people would pack them, one would put the cookies in and the other would close and stack the boxes.
