What I received wasn't quite what I expected but that's only because I've never had one of these before. One of them is constantly in my work bag (I work with children with autism). I personally like the feel, especially on the bristle side and sometimes the sponge side. The only way it won't last long is if the sponge part was picked as a nervous habit.
