Review on ๐Ÿ–ค MYSWEETY 3018PRO M Black Engraving Extension Rod by Karla Richter

Totally imperfect but still a very good set

Overall a good set. It was fairly easy to put together, the printed instructions are useful for reference, if not exactly concise. Some tweaks and adjustments during installation resulted in a solid end result. Many online resources will help you get it right. Linear bearings made a grinding noise when first assembled. On the Internet it was recommended to "pack" them with grease, this was not in the instructions that came with it. Not sure if this is required/common, but now the noise is gone. Disassembly of the machine for repair, a little troublesome. Adding limit switches after it turned out that the labels on the pins of the circuit boards do not correspond to the position where the switches go. Trial and error was able to connect the cable properly. It is up to you to decide on the assembly and placement of limit switches, several online sources on this topic are very helpful. Aftermarket cable management recommended. No parts included. Zippers, cable wraps and a plethora of 3D prints quickly finished off the mess of cables left over from assembly. I'm still improving the configuration options, but not entirely sure if the default settings are correct/optimal for tweaking. We have had good results etching with a laser. (5.5W) suitable for cutting thin wood even with multiple passes/lower speeds. lots of smoke, think of an enclosure and a smoke control system. Spindle works until used except for basic check. Bought to learn the basic design and concept of a CNC machine. Would recommend for this purpose. Solid building materials, injection molded parts (not 3D printed). Happy with the kit. Cable wraps and countless 3D prints quickly took care of the cable clutter that remains after assembly. Inexpensive, well designed, high quality machine - but not too easy for beginners.
