There were two old products like this to keep bedroom doors open. Live in a high-rise that moves and changes over the years. The door wasn't always fully open. I was redecorating my house and thought it was time to update the look. I found these and liked the option. Was careful to use attached glue instead of drilling and using screws. Next up was glue. Works perfectly! The magnet is not as strong as the old one. It's just enough to hold the door in place, but not too strong to break the glue on the two pieces. It is, and it's really attractive. Now it decorates the room and does not spoil it!
