I have a thick head of long, thin, wavy hair that gets tangled and tangled easily. This comb is not painless and didn't go through my hair very easily. It was still some pain for me even though it eventually went through all the entanglements. I'm still skeptical about this comb, although I will say it works better than other detangling combs I've used. It's beautiful and durable. I have to use it every day which helps prevent my hair from turning into tumbleweed. It works and I haven't broken a single tooth which is a big plus. On the other hand, it is not painless. It could be my hair because most reviews rated it highly. I like it but I don't like it.
