Review on πŸš— High-Capacity 3 Ton Steel Jack Auto Stands - Amazon Basics (1 Pair) by James Hess

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent stands for $

Looks solid; Haven't used them yet but after re-reading some of the reviews on here I checked the welds under the decals and they look and feel nice. The part the car stands on is solid and everything seems fine. but the welds on the legs are very poor, at least in one pose, and both do not fit quite evenly, although range of motion is poor; maybe 1mm or less, but worth mentioning? I can't imagine it being standard to have space between the bottom of the legs and the legs of the stand and only have two welds for each. Maybe it's not a big deal, idk, but the ones with gaps seem sketchy. I feel like my legs might break under the weight of the machine. I'm guessing it could be caused by welding from the inside so it looks cleaner from the outside, takes up very little space and needs to be done by machine? I don't know, but I would have preferred the weld to be visible from the outside for a more secure fit. I probably won't be going back as worst case scenario the legs will come loose and I'll have to forego them or maybe reposition them. fasten underneath / with metal spatula. On the photo; Doubtful leg and what the rest looks like Will try to upgrade after some use

Pros
  • Solid build
Cons
  • I don't have much to complain about, everything is fine
