Review on Magnavox MD6972: Portable CD Boombox with AM/FM Radio, Color Changing Lights, Bluetooth, and LCD Display by Jonathan Lamp

This is a very light and portable boombox. Not as small as the Jensen CD-490 Sport I recently bought and reviewed, but better build quality in terms of CD lid and tuner components, and it's a few bucks cheaper with more features. I'm not sure if the tone is the same. good, like Jensen, but very close. I gave Jensen a 5 star rating and this boombox definitely deserves 5 stars. Both purchases are very good buys considering the modest prices. As a smarter purchase, the Magnavox might have had a slight overall advantage if I had been forced to make a decision based on overall performance and build quality rather than sound performance. In the end I am happy with both boomboxes as I needed one for outdoor use and the other for indoor use. I have a CD collection but didn't want to spend a lot on portable CD players so this choice made sense to me. I hope this helps you decide.
