Well firstly I didn't read the reviews as my wife chose this bed. But the assembly was pretty easy until the end. Putting the two pieces together into two seats turns the bed into a place to take a photo or six. I took it apart about twice because it wouldn't screw on. and then found that if you slightly loosened the sides where the support rods are located, it made things a little easier. But not easy enough; 'Cause I think your fingers are about to fall off I also flipped a shim to fill in the gap a bit and make it a little tighter, it worked for me but I don't recommend it (also I put myself in and wiggle to make sure it's strong enough) . I also worked a 10 hour shift before assembling this thing and let me tell you. The 10 hour shift was easier. I also recommend building this with a partner, at least if you start making the chair part after making that first part the rest is fine...until the end.
