Criminally Underestimated Price

Practically 1/3 the price of an equivalent. My motherboard only has USB 3.0 and was having connectivity issues. I installed this and connected a USB-C to USB-A hub. Typically, USB-A hubs with more than 4 ports require a power adapter to connect to, but a USB-C to USB-A hub may consume more power. Not to mention that they are generally more reliable. Even if I end up buying a new motherboard, it will be useful. When there are problems with USB, we often have to wonder if the problem is with the motherboard. Installing allows this feature to be explored on the same computer. Also, I'll make sure my most important devices have their own dedicated ports, away from the main "cluster" on the back of the motherboard. Requires no drivers on Windows 10 and you can safely dispose of the included installation CD if you no longer use Windows 7. I doubt any Linux distro will need drivers as this device seems to use a standardized set, but I can't say for sure. Very happy with this product.
