Installed in a Jeep Wrangler YJ. The holes you will use are slits open at the edges. I had to enlarge these holes slightly toward the center of the speaker (lengthwise) with a chainsaw file to fit the studs on the back of the dash. I also spaced them with two nuts and a small o-ring to keep the tweeter from bumping, but Revain have a couple of kits with small plastic braces that work fine. Just look for a set of round nylon or plastic spacers. They replaced my jeep's stock speakers which looked like they were mummified and the surround sound is completely gone so a big improvement.
