Overall, these are great, LIGHT-compression stockings, but I think the manufacturer needs to work on the sizing. I originally ordered the S/M size that was supposed to fit my shoe and calf size. When I tried them on, I found that the foot section was quite restrictive on my toes, while the calf size and length were just about perfect. I returned those and re-ordered the L/XL size and, while the foot section is a little on the loose side, it is better than having too much pressure on my already troubled tootsies. (My main concern is that they provide just the right amount of compression on my ankles and calves to control minor swelling.) Since I am only 5'2", the length of the L/XL is about 1 - 1 1/2" longer than my lower leg, so I just turn the top of them down and they stay put all day without bunching up and constricting blood flow. The compression is reasonable, unlike some that are so tight you can't even get them over your heels, and they've held up well in the wash. (I wash all of my socks/stockings in a lingerie bag so they cannot be stretched and snagged by other clothes in the load. Not to mention the fact that the "single-sock monster" can't steal one from each pair and leave me with a bunch of mismatches!) All in all, I would recommend them to a friend and will order them again if they are still available when I've worn out the 8 pairs that came in the package. However, that might take a while since I've found them to be well made and I don't think they'll wear out anytime soon if they are properly cared for.
