So far so good. Most egg cutters break on the first attempt to cut an egg. They all seem to be made the same way. I've had this model for two months now and I've cut dozens of eggs. It is still in pristine condition even after washing with a soapy sponge. I love that it holds the egg in place while I'm slicing and the slices fall into my bowl. I haven't used the slicer yet. I don't make eggs this way, but if the slicer fails I can use it as a fallback.
