I bought two of these. One worked great on my dad's Chevy v8 truck, it was damn accurate, but it didn't work on my truck. My truck has a f150, xlt, inline 6 (ford 300) 1992 engine. Once I put a tach on my truck, it worked and everything, but tach readings were literally everywhere. One second idle is 4,000 rpm, the next - 8,000, and then 2, you get the idea. I then made sure it was connected to the coil and set to position 6. However, this does not work. For those with an inline 6, I wouldn't buy this. But for others who have a regular V engine, it will probably work just fine and well. All in all a great product but I don't think it was made to work with an inline six.
