I’m so excited to have lashes back in my life. After using Luxillia magnetic lashes daily for nearly 2 years, I developed an allergy to the liner out of nowhere. I was devastated bc even after taking a several week break and re-attempting to wear the magnetic lashes I had a reaction. I thought lashes were just not an option as I cannot master the magnetic ones without liner and extensions destroyed my natural lashes which is what prompted me to switch to magnetic. I’ve done a ton of research on potential allergens in the magnetic liner and concluded I likely developed a sensitivity to iron oxide which is what makes the liner black as well as adhere to the magnets. Based on the hundreds of reviews I read, liners that claim to be iron oxide free seem to rarely work well with magnetic lashes so I figured I was out of luck. Enter this Luxillia adhesion set. I recently remembered reading reviews about Luxillia lashes advertised as magnetic but they had a different style liner and no magnets. So I came to revain to find this particular set and gave them a whirl. I’m on day 3 with no reaction. The lashes have a sticky strip and the liner is also sticky. I’ve been using the clear liner so far and it comes off much easier than magnetic liner. The lashes are easy to place and stay on all day/night just as well as the magnetic style. I’m so grateful to have found this lash alternative!Updated 4/28/22I’ve been wearing these daily without any issue. I started using the black liner as well with no reaction. I’m 100% satisfied & so grateful to have an option that is quick, easy & does not swell up my eye lids. The black liner also removes easily with micellar water. I would suggest carrying a liner with you in your purse or pocket or stashing one in the car etc… . Some days I need to reapply the liner mid to late day. Other days it stays in tact until bed time. I think it has to do with whether my eyes were watery that day (from walking in the wind or cold etc.) or if I put the liner on before my lotion was totally absorbed. I did try to wear these with old magnetic lashes just because I have so many. The magnets made it too heavy for the adhesive and I did not have luck with those, so stick to the adhesive strip lashes. Keeping the lashes stored rounded on the insert they come on helps with application as well. Love me some lashes!
