He magically came back to life (same batteries so no problem). I don't know why or how long it works. I still like it but my confidence in it is low. The time will show. Precise and reproducible. I use it to weigh coffee before grinding. I use the ounce scale. I use a container for beans, which I weigh first and then use the tare function. The weight of the container is always read the same way with an accuracy of 3 decimal places, +/- 0.001. That's amazing accuracy for the price. The only thing I would like to point out is that the batteries have a plastic cover to prevent discharge, which must be removed before use. This is not mentioned in the literature. I'm concerned that the small plastic tabs on the battery cover can easily break, so be careful when removing them.
