My first impression upon opening the nicely packaged box was that these straps are noisy. They are heavy, feel durable and look luxurious. Mine came with measurement lines cut into the inside of the belt so I could trim off the excess material and have the belt fit perfectly. Obviously the plastic notches on the inside of the belt are why you are buying it and let me tell you they really work and are functional. This allows you to get a good personal fit and adjust the size from day to day as you need or feel you need to. I'm a tall guy, size 50 near natural waste, and I wear my pants by the navel. These belts look great with dress pants, especially those with quality buckles. Remember that classic belts should be an accessory that adds some flair to your wardrobe. Not being loaded down with sagging pants or weighted bags full of bullshit. So I can't vouch for how well they perform under heavy loads. All I can say is that they work well when used for their intended purpose, adding style and a bit of support to the pants you wear. During normal activities in the office, walk around so that the belt does not take a lot of stress or strain. I have already received many compliments on the straps and look forward to ordering more on a variety of buckles. I've only had the first week of use and am now very happy and satisfied with this product. I will probably give a review after 3 months of everyday use. So buy this product. If your experience is as good as mine, you won't regret it!
