I only used this item once on my '09 Roadking. At the same time, my bike shakes a bit and we rode on very bumpy roads. This mount stayed in place and the phone stayed right where I put it. The included instructions don't explain very well what to do and they are small. You can read and go through them. In general, it took about 15 minutes to unpack and assemble. I am very satisfied with this product. I will recommend!
