Nice stand for bakers but terrible build experience

This is a very good portable baker's stand. It's both useful and attractive. It's not the strongest I've seen, but when the casters are locked it's stable enough for small kitchen appliances and other items. Unfortunately, the construction process was quite lengthy. What should otherwise have been easy was complicated by a broken part and poor instructions. One of the supporting parts was welded crooked. Luckily I was able to rotate the part into position so it could be secured, but only because the welded parts were only half welded. I was concerned that the half welds would break when the piece was bent back into shape, but they held. The instructions didn't mention assembling some of the components, but it was easy to figure out where they went. If the manufacturer is reading this, parts G and Z have been omitted from the instructions. As a suggestion for those assembling this part, note that the rollers are exceptionally tight to the support legs. The usual way to use them is to tap the bottom of the reels to get them to their feet. Since the rollers are plastic, I was afraid that trying to drive them in would break the rollers. Instead, I unscrewed the rollers from the inserts, tapped the inserts with a hammer, and then screwed the rollers back into the inserts.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
