I'm almost 5ft 4" and the length is very good; closes the ankles, but no more - there is no feeling that you can trip. You don't have to bend down. Not the typical elasticated waist with an elastic band pulled through the sewn-in crease. The waist is an elastic thread that is gathered several inches, creating a comfortable, non-binding or billowing top part of the skirt that would easily accommodate a slightly larger belly. I have 2X for my ample 40 inch waist and it is very comfortable. The colors are not as bright as in the picture, but that suits me. Don't see through. Comes with shipping creases that can be ironed out completely by simply throwing the shower rod over wet towels. Easy to wash in the hand basin, dries quickly and does not need to be ironed in the wind. About half of women in the US wear mini skirts, which to us is a nice and easy-care summer skirt.
